The key areas that the primary school curriculum addresses are listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, building a strong foundation in mathematics, an introduction to the subjects of science and Social Studies, a grasp over the second language i.e. Hindi/Sanskrit, nurturing an interest in arts, craft, music and dance. It also lays emphasis on physical education and sports.
Teachers, students and parents remain partners in the learning process as they explore and make connections across subjects, develop fresh thinking and apply their knowledge to real-life situations. The acquisition of knowledge is made more meaningful through opportunities to apply it. Projects, exhibitions, presentations and field trips ensure that the learner finds many areas to see the theory in practice.
The primary objective is to provide a solid and unshakeable foundation in the core subject areas of science, mathematics, social science, language and environmental studies. It is not limited to textbook knowledge alone β instead our curriculum provides hands-on learning, teaches macro concepts, encourages free expression and develops creative and critical thinking faculties. As per the board guidelines, the prime focus of our curriculum is on innovations in teaching-learning methodologies by creating student friendly and student centered paradigms.
